For 2026, Ford updates the lineup by introducing the Lightning STX to replace the outgoing XLT, bringing more power and more range as standard equipment. The 2026 F-150 Lightning STX comes standard with dual electric motors and an extended range battery, delivering 536 horsepower and 775 lb-ft of torque. Ford also quotes an estimated range of 467 km for this configuration. Instant torque provides quick response and confident acceleration, while DC fast charging capability helps you top up efficiently when you are on the go.

Capabilities

Even with its all electric powertrain, the Lightning keeps the capability F-150 drivers expect. In the STX configuration, Ford lists a maximum payload of over 2,000 lb (907 kg) and towing capacity up to 10,000 lb (4,536 kg). It also offers selectable drive modes to suit road conditions, and available trailering technologies help make towing tasks easier and more confident.
 

Technology
The interior of the 2026 F-150 Lightning blends comfort and smart functionality. An available 15.5 inch touchscreen with SYNC 4A helps keep navigation, media, and key truck features within easy reach. Depending on trim and equipment, features like a premium sound system, connected services, and advanced driver assist technologies help make every drive feel effortless.

Innovation
The front trunk, often called the frunk, adds secure and practical storage, and available Pro Power Onboard lets you run tools and accessories when you need it. The 2026 Lightning STX also adds more rugged content as standard, including all terrain tires, Tremor style running boards, and an electronic locking rear differential for added traction.
